Meet your teachers

Miss Cravana (Miss C)

Hi my name is Dani and I simply adore working at Mordialloc Beach Primary School. Some interesting things about me include: I majored in archaeology at Monash University (never quite made it to be Indiana Jones). I completed my Masters of Primary Teaching at Deakin University.  I have an Italian background, this comes with a love of pasta, coffee and gardening.
My passion in the classroom is teaching literacy. I love exploring rich texts with my students, delving deep into the themes and characters. I also place an emphasis on the importance of student well-being and student voice in the classroom.

Miss Charles

Hello! My name is Grace, I feel so fortunate to be a part of the wonderful team at Mordialloc Beach Primary School.
Here is a little bit of information to get to know me: I love food, nothing makes me more upset than a bad meal! I enjoy spending as much time as I can outdoors; hiking, swimming, rollerblading and camping. I love to travel! After finishing my Bachelor of Primary Education I moved to London for 2 years where I was able to teach at a range of different schools while exploring the UK, Europe and parts of South/Central America. Shortly after, I moved to Vietnam. I taught at the Western Australian International School and enjoyed eating all of my favourite foods every single day, not one bad food day! I am now very happy to be back in Australia pursuing my teaching career. In the classroom I love teaching different topics through inquiry, posing questions and problems to build on students initiative and promote deeper understanding.

Miss Issa
Hi Everyone, My name is Kim Issa. I currently teach Grade 3/4 after being in grade 2 for 2 years, and year 5/6 for four years before that.  I graduated from Deakin after studying a Bachelor in Primary Education in 2014. I initially got into teaching to make a difference to students lives and realised quickly that it's actually the other way around. Working with kids and seeing them reach their full potential has been my greatest joy of my life.  When I am not teaching I really enjoy cooking (and eating!), Reading (my favourite book is Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis), watching movies or TV with my wife and taking long walks along the beach.
